  Twins Game Summary:

The Twins are really started to look and function as a team. They are learning the field positions and backing each other up and always getting the ball to first base. We had our 2nd game of hitting off the pitch in the 3rd inning. Nathan and Joel Kellar led off the innings with back to back hits. Kale Guenther, Nathan Goldsberry, Ryan Mohwinkle and Tanner Foltz followed up the inning with nice hits. Dalton Hinders had his first game playing at 1st base and was ready for the ball after each hit. Jace Vollstedt, Cael Smalley and Sam Wilson did a great job in the infield and chasing after the ball, getting that thrown to first base. We are half way through the season and very proud of the Tee-Ball Twins.

  Athletics Game Summary:

What a great performance by both the Cardinals and the A’s. Offensively the A’s bats were hot in the first inning where everyone hit. Dylan Timmons led the team with 2-RBI’s. Defensively the A’s had to be on their toes tonight. The Cardinals were putting the bat to the ball making the A’s defense work hard. Cole Iverson started the game off with a line drive catch. Both Nathin Mortimer and Seth Curry had to use their bodies to stop the Cardinal’s hits tonight. Cole Iverson ended the 3rd inning with a great play at short stop throwing the ball to Collin Lister at first base for the out. This sent the A’s back to the dug out for last chance to win the game. Great plays were made by the Cardinals for the first two outs of the game. Hits by Clayton Raitt and Samuel Overton in the bottom of the 3rd inning put runners in scoring position. Next up was Kenny Charikov who delivered the game winning hit to score Clayton Raitt this put the A’s on top 8-7. What a great game by both teams…..

  Athletics Game Summary:

With Ice Cream on the line the A’s showed up ready to play ball on Sunday. The A’s had another great offensive showing today with everyone bringing in at least 1-RBI. Defensively the A’s held the Mets’ to only 5 runs. Defensive plays were recorded by Nate Mortimer and Cole Iverson but the play of the game was Collin Lister’s catch of the “Mile High” pop fly. Great catch Collin. Everyone enjoyed their well deserved ice cream at the end of the great. Thanks Coach Shaun…

  Mets Game Summary:

The weather warmed up and so did the Cubbies! Every player had a single during the game! Max Goodhue was again on fire out on the field, supplying the Cubs with 6 outs during the game. Max and Nate Firkins also both had triples during the game. Troy Schnathorst was impressive in the pitcher position throwing to Max on 1st for an out in the third inning. William Voboril had a nice stop in the third inning as well, throwing to Max on 1st - the runner was just too fast for the out. The Cubs and the Marlins played an exciting game. Great plays by both teams!

  Phillies Game Summary:

Phillies were hot today. They played great defensive in the first and second innings. With Ben Rowray and Grant Mutch showing their skills at first and the pitching mound. Trenton Beck started the third inning off with Solo home run. We were excited to see Trenton rounding the bases. Brett Pierce also had a great double and Nate Rowray also had a good hit past the pitching mound. Luke Evans continues to get his timing down and is starting to hit that ball a mile. Max Guard and Ethan were special mention with Ethan getting home twice in this game. Great to see these Phillies enjoying the game during the heat wave. Look out for we are going to win our next game! Look out Bluejays!

  Twins Game Summary:

What a day for a ball game! We were finally able to leave the parkas and gloves at home. The weather was perfect and the Twins came to play! Our bats were on fire and our fielding was the best that we have displayed all season. Every player had at least two hits in the game and Kyle Whipple had a nice double. Our fielding was nearly as good as our hitting. In the first, Cole Henderson stopped a grounder and made a diving play at 1st base for the out. This was followed up by first Jaren Klingensmith, then Darek Tingle grabbing grounders and throwing to Cole on 1st base for the next two outs. In the 2nd inning Darek Tingle made a great play at home plate catching the pop up hit to end the inning. It was Cory Critchlow who was on fire at first base in the 3rd inning. Cory grabbed two grounders and ran to 1st base for the first and second outs and followed this up by catching a nice throw from Cole Hopkins for the third out at 1st to end the inning. In the 4th inning Cory stopped a powerful hit along the left baseline and threw to Darek Tingle at home plate to get the runner out at home. The game ended on a high note as Cory caught a pop fly in left center field for the game ending out.

We lacked our spark today and ran into a good D-Back team but there were some bright spots. Alec Iverson slugged out a double and two singles and Josh Beener hammered a triple in the third. Brenden Smith and Conor Connolly also made it safely on base. On the mound, Max McCay and Dylan Reed both got three strike-outs and put in some solid work.

  D-Backs Game Summary:

GREAT JOB D-BACKS!! Great job Brandon LaBrie--played a tough game with a fat bloody lip. Mitch Tyler smacked a big double in the first and Brandon LaBrie hustled out a homer in the 3rd. Two hits a piece by Nate Snyder, Brandon L, Travis Johnston, Brandon McCaughey, Mitch T & Tyler Donovan. Catcher Nate Snyder chased a runner back to third, threw to Mitch T for the tag. Cather Tyler D threw one down to Kenny McCaughey who chased the runner back for another out. Heads up defense has gotten the D-Backs back to back games throwing out 2 attempted steals!!

Great day at the ballpark today. We tried coach pitch for the first time this year and the boys responded well. Dalton Hinders, Jace Vollstedt, Nathan Goldsberry, Tanner Foltz and Ryan Mohwinkle were able to connect and get to base on the coach pitch. The team is doing great at getting the ball to first base. The boys played a great game and continue to learn more and more. Great job Twins.

Both the A’s and Orioles came ready to play on this windy Saturday afternoon. We traded run for run until the last inning where an Orioles runner got into a “pickle”, Cole Iverson and Nate Mortimer completed the run down with an out. Other defensive outs were made by Collin Lister. The play of the game was the line drive stop by Dylan Timmins in centerfield, holding the runner to a single where he was later put out at second by Nathin Mortimer to secure the A’s victory. Clayton Raitt contributed to the A’s many hits with his first double of the season. Another great game A’s.

  Twins Game Summary:

Our boys deserve credit for giving it their all for their coldest game yet and less than twelve hours following the completion of their last game. The boys were hitting but the runs just weren`t coming, thanks to a combination of cold, fatigue, and some fine play by the Cubs. Cole Hopkins turned in a nice defensive game for us, tagging out a runner in the 1st. Cole also received a throw from Cory Critchlow in the 2nd inning for the out at 1st as well scooping up a ground ball and tagging a runner on his way to 1st for another out. In the 3rd inning Darek Tingle made a nice throw to Cole Henderson at 1st for another out for our team. Way to hang in there boys and keep grinding away!

  Cubs Game Summary:

It was another cold game for the Cubbies but they rallied early to take the lead. Troy Schnathorst had three doubles to help the team stay ahead of the Twins. Max Goodhue also had another great game with two singles and a double. The Cubs did an outstanding job on defense with Nolan Kennedy stopping a running at 1st base, Lucas Olson fielded the ball from center to get a runner out on 2nd base and Max caught a pop fly - all in the first inning. Nate Firkins and Vaughn Gibson were able to stay warm while they hustled catching during the game and hit several singles each. Erik Landgren (L-Train) has a nice stop at 3rd base and Troy gave it his all trying to get a runner our on first in the 3rd inning. Dok Dok, Caleb Wenthe and William Voboril also helped by sending runners home with their singles. Another great game - good job Cubbies!

  Cubs Game Summary:

We played well in a tight low scoring game we learned the importance of every out and taking advantage of every opportunity. Nick Perez led the offense with a big triple and scored on the over throw. Jordan Pierce, Adam Smith and Jordan Baldwin each added singles. Alex Petro led the Defense with two outfield assists.

  Marlins Game Summary:

A good solid outing from the Marlins with every Marlin getting on base at some time during the game. Alec Iverson, Brenden Smith and Max McCay also added by banging out two hits each. On the defensive side good pitching from Alec Iverson and Josh Beener helped us end with a score of 6 to 3. On a side note - I am very proud of the players in both dugouts that played some hard nosed baseball and stayed focused on the game despite some coaching mistakes. (Coach Kevin is still learning and he,I, will do better, SORRY!!)
